Update on Passion Project

We achieved a quite big development on our passion project. We nearly finished constructing the whole school (nearly~). It was almost the same size as it was in real world, which means that it was a really really massive project. If we built it one block by one block, it would take us hundreds of hours to complete it. Instead, we, the smart students, explored a new technology in Minecraft which is called the command block to help us reduce the workload. What command blocks do is filling an area of land with the same type of blocks. For example, we can use it to pave the ground with bricks in one second, which is actually amazing.

The pictures above are images rendered by the newest shader-pack in Minecraft. Shader-packs make the Minecraft world seem more realistic by adding light and shadow and the reflection of water.

Good reflection, King, and I am happy to see that this project has given you the opportunity to learn a more efficient way of using Minecraft. The passion project is all about innovation and creation, which is exactly what you are doing here. Well done.

    It looks pretty awesome too!
